The other day, I read an article in Women’s Health magazine about our personal, emotional wake: the feelings that other people feel right after you leave them.
How people receive you depends upon the energy that you project while you are with them. One way to determine another person’s emotional wake is to ask yourself as you leave a room, what am I feeling in my body? How is that feeling manifesting in my thoughts—or vice-versa? What was the gist of our conversation?
If you find that your conversations with others are colored by negativity, ask yourself what you get out of them. Then ask what you could do instead to achieve positive action in the direction you would like it, that would benefit yourself and others.
How would that action change your conversations with others and your emotional wake?
