ABOUT ALLISON POST HARRIS
Allison is a co-active coach. She helps individuals and teams clarify their mission statements, then develop an action plan informed by each client’s unique vision of their future. Allison serves as an accountability partner for her clients as they activate their plans. For some people, this shift is significant and abrupt, and for others, it’s merely a refinement of their life purpose or values that empowers them to leap farther in their purpose-driven life.
For over a decade as an attorney, Allison advised Fortune 500 company leaders and high net worth individuals on their real estate transactions. Her professional experience makes her uniquely qualified to work with professionals and others on change management.
I became a coach because I strongly believe that every person is gifted in a unique way. Few of us were born fully aware of that gift. Co-active coaches help people discover their potential, refine their dreams and act on them.
In my work with clients, values play an important role. Every person’s values inform their personal mission statement. Without an anchoring philosophy, leaders and organizations falter at crossroads.
Values also serve as motivational springboards. They also can predict the manner in which we approach challenges. When honored, they empower us to launch beyond personal plateaus and to scale new mountains.
Relationships play an important role in our success as well. When our tribes at work and home support us in living in a life aligned with our values, our individual and collective potential becomes exponentially greater.
Highly capable people have so many options for where they could take their lives. In our initial session, I ask my clients to contemplate the following questions:
- What motivates you?
- Where do you want to take your life?
- What would that give you?
- What would that give to the world?
Experiencing what I do is the best way to understand it.
